A Premie Needs His Mother. First Steps to Breastfeeding Your Premature Baby
(in English and Spanish)
Told mainly through the stories of mothers of premature babies, this newly expanded video is a comprehensive guide to learning: New research shows pumping mothers make more milk by combining hand techniques with electric pumping. This recently expanded video demonstrates how to do this. "A Premie Needs His Mother" is a two-part video. At the end of Part I ("The Benefits" and "Pumping", 35 min.) please find additional footage in English on “Steps on Hand Expression” and “Hands-on Pumping”. Part I is intended for mothers who are about to, or have just delivered prematurely. Part II ("Transitioning to the Breast" and "Coming Home", 21 min.) should be watched just as soon as the baby is ready to be held.
